Los Angeles: The Artemisia Bindery, 1906. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Poor. Hardcover in original brown boards with red lettering on front. Limited autograph edition of 1000 of which this is #822. SIGNED by the author under this limitation note. Book's untrimmed pages are lightly browned but not brittle. Boards have normal wear especially at corners; binding is solid but spine is shot--very little of it is left. Mathews was a noted writer of the day. Her story, The Emigration of Mary Anne, appeared in the Jan. 1914 issue of the Atlantic. 8vo. 113 pp.
