Grosset & Dunlap, 1944 Former owner's name on front fly leaf. Beige cloth with dark red printing on the spine. Text clean, binding sound. A very nice copy in a poor dust jacket that is creased, chipped, with 1/3 of the spine gone. The front flap of the d.j. is torn off but there. Author's first novel of the Bennett's Island series.
