George White's Historical Collections of Georgia, and another hard-to find book: Georgia, a Guide to Its Towns and Countryside, a WPA publication. This NEW 27 Page Booklet is printed one-sided on 60# paper with the print enlarged for easier reading. A vinyl sheet has been added to protect the front cover. Baldwin -- Hardwick, Milledgeville, Scottsborough, Fort Wilkinson Jasper -- Monticello, Hillsboro, Mansfield, Round Oak, Shady Dale Putnam -- Eatonton The excerpt from White's book concerns the development of this area up to its publication date, while excerpts from the WPA book, offer a nostalgic glimpse from a 1940 vantage point, including historical notes, especially as they relate to sightseeing possibilities.
