Half bound red leather with marbled paper-covered boards. Book appears to have been rebound. Deckled and rough cut text block edges. Contains black and white illustrated plates to rear of book. Pages are moderately tanned with heavy foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Gutters are moderately cracked with binding exposed. Binding remains firm. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout, with a few small nicks and creases along text block edge. Plates are heavily tanned and foxed. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Scuffing to front board.
