Boston: The Massachusetts State Board of Agriculture, 1912. First Edition. First printing Very good+ in green cloth covered boards with gilt text on the spine. A small quarto of 9 5/8 by 6 1/2 inches with the cloth at the head and heel of the spine and at the upper and lower edges of the boards is spotted from the damage of silverfish. Without a dust jacket. 622 pages including an index "Including those used for food which have disappeared since the settlement of the country, and those which are now hunted for food or sport, with observations on their former abundance and recent decrease in numbers: also the means for conserving those still in existance." Illustrated with drawings by W. I. Beecroft and the author and with photographs by Herbert K. Job and others.
