Very Good. 1857 second edition revised; 14.5 x 23 cm 6 volumes set. xvii-491 + xii-517 + xi - 503 + xii - 496 + xii - 535 + x - 499 pp. Armorial bookplates to the front paste downs, the contents clean and tight with no inscriptions. Bound in fine full tan calf by Mansell, spines in 6 compartments with ornate gilt tooling with central floral motif within an ornate floral and decorative border. Dark green title labels and volume numbers label the volume number on contrasting tan calf within circular devices and tooling. The bindings are tight with no splitting or chipping, some abrasion to part of rear spine edge of volume 1 and a few old ink splash marks to boards of volume 6. A very good set in a fine period binding.
