HC 1st edition. Soundly bound in original olive brown cloth with titles brightly in gilt to spine and decorative borders in blind to sides. Cloth lightly crimped and a little rubbed at spine ends. Several signatures starting slightly at the front edge; prior owner name and date penned to front endpage. Illustrated with 28 b&w portraits. Light foxing to some of the portrait plates; scattered occasional spotting and finger soiling to pages of text. Solid and bright copy of this important reference on the very active Underground Railroad in south eastern and south central Pennsylvania. VG- .
