The Caxton Publishing Company, 1896. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1896. Caxton Edition. 340 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth. Gilt applied to top edge of text block, remaining sides are rough cut. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Plates are bright and clear. Moderate cracking at the hinges with exposed binding material. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine. Splits to spine joints.
