Contemporary Cambridge- style panelled calf, worn on spine ends with some loss. Replacement label. One folding plate backed with plain paper at some time, otherwise the contents clean and tight. Bound in period tree calf, raised bands, gilt tooling. At some time, [ not recently ], corners of boards have been repaired, some scuffing and abrasion wear, head of spine chipped, rubbed. Generally a nice binding. Internally, a few plates have minor crease marks, 1 plates lacking part of margin, not affecting engraved area. Pages and plates in good clean condition.
