About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1936. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. This novel about a South Seas hurricane served as the basis for the 1937 John Ford film starring Dorothy Lamour and Jon Hall (the coauthor's nephew). This copy is inscribed by Charles Nordhoff on the half-title. Octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with cream and silver stamping. Typical fading along the spine and extremities. The dust jacket is moderately edgeworn, with some neat brown paper reinforcement to the verso; otherwise very good.
