Signed by Kingsley Amis to the title page. This is Amis's third novel and it is highly comical. Sir Kingsley Amis was a popular English novelist, poet, critic and teacher. He wrote in many genres including comedy, science fiction and mystery. He was regarded as one of the finest English comic novelists of the second half of the twentieth century. Amis won many awards during his time, including the Booker Prize, which he was shortlisted for three times before finally winning in 1986. In the original full cloth binding and held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, lightly bumped to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. A few marks to the boards. Dustwrapper is chipped to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Spine of dustwrapper is faded. A few spots to the wraps. Closed tear to the front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
