Macmillan. London 1897. 1st edition.. Owners signature to half-title page. several ownership stamps. various bumps & marks, all three maps excellent with no tears. overall G-VG condition.. Red cloth boards. 604pp illustrated with 3 fold-out maps at rear. 8vo. 1.0kg. In 1885 the author travelled across South Africa from Cape Town to Fort Salisbury in Mashonaland passing through Bechuanaland and Matabeleland and by steamer from Beira to Delagoa Bay. Thence through Natal, Transvaal, Orange Free State, Basutoland, and the Eastern Province of the Cape Colony. He records impressions social, economic, & political.

Any Duties levied by Customs Depts on entry to the purchaser's country are payable by the purchaser. Fables Bookshop are not liable for duties and such charges levied on purchases. Neither are Fables liable for material seized on entry to other countries on account of political or other restrictions.

Trade Discount only to members of their respective national book dealer association. ie. ABA, ABAA, ANZAAB, etc.

All items sent by courier, trackable.

Local Deliveries: Standard Rate is via Pudo, Locker-to-Locker. Expedited Rate refers to use of either Fedex or Postnet if required by customer.

Overseas Deliveries: Standard Rate will use courier out of South Africa and then will utilise local postal service for 'last mile' deliveries. Expedited Rate will utilise full courier service.

Canadian customers please query us for delivery rate. Currently Canada is in International Postal Zone F, along with Australia, and the price quoted can probably be reduced to Canada
