It was first opened by this bookseller and the dust jackets placed in clear archival quality protective covers. One book may have a tiny tear on the brown dust jacket, they are very tightly packed. This set was originally shipped with double cardboard and packed and published with high quality material seldom seen these days. Volume 1 is 543 pages; Volume 2 is 531 pages; Volume 3 is 496 pages; Volume 4 is 500 pages; Volume 5 is 506 pages. All Volumes are reinforced and are clean, fresh, tight and bright and bound in burgandy cloth with sharp gilt lettering on the spine. Books have marbled endsheets and edges. The set is very heavy to ship and will require extra shipping. This set is a condition conscious buyer's dream! The condition and quality of these first edition books are outstanding. A wonderful set in a condition and quality that will be next to impossible to duplicate. Available for immediate shipment; carefully packed in sturdy boxes.
