The text is illustrated with three inserts, of 16 pages each, of black-and-white photography or illustrations. Illustrated paperback binding with red, white and yellow coloured titles to the front panel and black and red coloured titles to the back strip. A book about inns / taverns / pubs of England throughout history. Their folklore, history, anecdotes, fact and fiction and quotations. Creasing to the book corners with a large triangular crease to the top right hand corner of the front panel. Reading creases to the back strip with some chipping of the back strip corners. Uniform age toning of the text block edges and pages and there are a few stains to the front text edge. Remains of a sticker can be seen to the lower bite hand corner of the front panel.
