About This Item

London: Weidenfeld & Nicolson, 2004. First Edition. Signed by the author-musician, Nick Mason, the brilliant drummer for the innovative fantastically imaginative rock band Pink Floyd. Hardbound. A large heavy 360 page coffee table book. A little bumped at extremities otherwise a fresh unread copy in dust jacket. Illustrated throughout with rare photographs and vintage Floyd graphics from Nick Mason’s private archive, and supported with material from extensive personal research and interviews. A substantial and comprehensive chronicle of the history and development of the great rock band, Pink Floyd (David Gilmore, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and, for a time, Syd Barrett), recounted by founding member and drummer, Nick Mason. He writes, in part: “After years of being asked ‘How did Pink Floyd get its name?’, ‘Where’s Syd?’, and ‘Can I have a free T-shirt?’, this book was my attempt to come up with some answers. I ended up opening a Pandora’s box of memories.”
