Hardcover, brown cloth boards decorated with black and gilt. Exterior shows some darkening from handling along with edge and corner bumps. Interior pages are toned due to age and some minor foxing is present. Overall binding is tight but hinge is starting to open up at the front board. No signatures or bookplates are present, no library markings. We did find some very light penciling on the second to last end page where somebody did some arithmetic and some spelling words. This is like enough to be erased if desired. Very faint marbling design to exterior page edges on all three sides.
