About This Item

Boston, MA Little, Brown & Company , 1979. Hardcover First Edition USA (1979), so stated. Published in the previous year in London by Jonathan Cape. First Edition USA (1979), so stated. Very Good+ to Near Fine in Very Good DJ: The Book shows indications of very careful use: some tanning discoloration to the outsided edges of the free endpapers; the text pages are slightly cocked within the square binding, which remains perfectly secure; the text is clean. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome very nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing only very minor, unobtrusive flaws. Close to 'As New'. The DJ shows light wear to extremities, with a short, closed tear at the top of the front hinge; mild overall rubbing to the panels; a couple of creases to the inside front flap; the price has not been clipped; mylar-protected. Shows some flaws, but remains intact and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (9.3 x 8.2 x 0.6 inches). 108 pages. Profusely illustrated with duotone photographs by Fay Godwin. Language: English. Weight: 1 pound, 6 ounces. Published in the previous year in London by Jonathan Cape. Hardback with DJ. Fowles' describes his attraction to the Scillies and all islands.
