A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1951, in 302 pages with map endpapers + other maps, photographic frontispiece, & black-and-white photos throughout text. Hardcover 8vo has blue-green cloth-covered boards lettered in bright yellow to spine. Condition is VG: very clean inside & out, binding strong & straight, pages off-white with moderate tanning, heavier to edges; offsetting to front endpapers. Mild bumping to corners & rubbing to both ends of spine, with slight fraying at heel. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $3.50 price intact to front flap) is VG- (minus), with slight spine fading & chipping at lower spine/some corners; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
