Praha (Prague, Czech Republic): Statni Pedagogicke Nakladatelstvi, 1963. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 4to. 56 pages, plus many pages of illustrations. The overwhelming bulk of the book is the illustrations. Hardback with a white and green dust jacket. The jacket shows wear with several large chips on the edges, including at the top left corner of the front panel and a 3 inch tear at that chip. Many of the illustrations show title pages or portions of the text of books, portraits, statues and sculptures, facsimiles of drawings, and cityscapes from older books. John Amos Comenius (1592-1690) was a Czech philosopher and theologian from the Margraviate of Moravia who is considered the father of modern Educaiton. Text is in Czech.
