Paris: Henri Louis Basan, 1810. Etching on thin laid paper laid down to mid-weight Japon paper, 9 5/8 x 7 9/16 inches (244 x 190 mm), narrow to thread margins. Lettered below the image in the lower right margin with Rembrandt's facsimile signature and date: "Rembrandt f. 1647." On the verso of the mount is an area of adhesive residue at the lower right corner, and paper tape tabs at the top and bottom right corner from a former mount (also on the verso of the mount). Inscription in orange pencil in the lower left corner on the verso of the mount. In very good condition with excellent inking. With the 6 and 4 in the date appearing in reverse as described in New Hollstein.
