Previous owner's inscription on the front free endpaper. Dust jacket is protected in Brodartis lightly shelf worn along the edges. This is Book 1 of what seems to be a four volume set. A very good copy of this study of the gardens of Provence from the Middle ages to present day. Illustrated throughout with full colour photographs, line drawn maps of the gardens, and planting silhouettes. This is a heavy book and may require additional shipping charges (at cost).
