Spine is brown calf with a red spine label and gilt titling and dentelle tooling. Gilt tooled lines edging leather on boards. Marbled endpapers. Leather rubbed in spots, damp stains to front and rear.. Damp stain to corners of front few pages. Edges of text block sunned. Ribbon marker. Sangorski & Sutcliffe Bindery stamp to head of verso of FFEP. Sangorski & Sutcliffe is a firm of bookbinders established in London in 1901. It is considered to be one of the most important bookbinding companies of the 20th century, famous for its luxurious jeweled bindings that used real gold and precious stones in their book covers. Laid-in Opera, Theater and Concert list from the 1940-41 Season, North Shore Hotel Lobby.
