Thomas Mann (1875 - 1955) was a German novelist, short story writer, social critic, philanthropist, essayist, and the 1929 Nobel Prize in Literature laureate. <br /> <br /> Joseph the Provider [German: Joseph, Der Ernährer] is the concluding 4th volume of Mann's famous tetralogy Joseph And His Brothers about biblical Joseph, the immigrant Israelite who became vizier to Pharaoh, and provided food to Egyptians and Israelites during famine.<br /> <br /> Near Fine overall condition: tight copy.
