About This Item
Blackie and Son. Limited. London. No date. 1939. FIRST EDITION. Large 8vo. (10 x 7.5 inches). Illustrated with 8 fine full colour plates plus 18 black and white line illustrations throughout the text. A very good, bright and clean copy. Publishers beige boards with colour plate mounted to front panel. Beige cloth spine lettered in dark brown. In the rare original colour printed dustwrapper. Aside from some minor bumping to the corners of the boards and a few small chips to edges of the dustwrapper (the worst chip, at the bottom of the spine, just shaves off the top of the J in the title) this is a lovely copy of this scarce title.
