A Jewish women is sent to a concentration camp during World War II, but decides to lead an escape attempt even as the turmoil of war threatens to defeat her will. An engaging war film with feminist undercurrents by director Gillo Pontecorvo, largely overshadowed by what would become his best-known film, "The Battle of Algiers" (1966). Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Shot on location in Yugoslavia.
14.5 x 9.5 inches. Very Good plus, with light wear at the corners.
