London: Adam & Charles Black. 1905. First edition. Cream cloth with gilt titles and blind decorations. Beveled boards. 280mm x 220mm (11" x 9"). xx, 301pp + plates. Frontis plate signed by John Greenaway and with an original sketch by Kate Greenaway window-mounted before the half-title. 53 color plates with tissue-guards and 90 b/w photos and illustrations. Appears to be the "deluxe edition" with the drawing and signature, though this one is not numbered. Includes the sales slip from A&C Blacks from their London shop w a date stamp "10Nov, 1905." The book is in very good condition. The inside of the book is immaculate- but there is light soiling to the cover boards, and a little wear to the top of the spine.
