Eighth edition 1906, large 8vo, approximately 260 x 165 mm, 10 x 6½ inches, pages: xxxv, 1012, plus 26 pages of adverts at rear, and adverts also on endpapers and pastedowns, bound in the original publisher's pink cloth with blind stamped decoration and gilt royal coat of arms on upper cover, gilt lettered spine. Spine faded, covers unevenly faded, spotted and lightly soiled, tiny chip to cloth on upper cover, lower corner of lower cover slightly worn, front inner paper hinge cracked, binding tight and firm, some printed text on fore-edges as an index. Very good copy, contents clean, no inscriptions. See: James Gabler Wine into Words, A History and Bibliography of Wine Books in the English Language, page 155, listing the 13th edition 1926.
