Synopsis

Ruth Rendell has been writing mysteries under her own name and as Barbara Vine for 25 years.  She is the author of more than 30 books, including her series of Inspector Wexford novels, several of which have been dramatized for TV.  She has received numerous awards, including three Edgar Allan Poe Awards from the Mystery Writers of America.   The Bridesmaid , published by Doubleday Canada in 1989 and Seal Books in 1990, was the first of her novels to be published separately in Canada. --
