Hardcover with dustjacket, this unique copy is inscribed, signed and dated by the author: "For Carol with love. Ewart Oakeshott (Anglo-Saxon Workshop, 1971) " This copy also includes two jackets for this book with different artwork, the book is in excellent condition with no remarkable flaws, the original red and gold jacket for this first printing (VG-) has edge-wear, scuffing and a small blemish on the rear panel, the bottom corner is clipped but the original British price (13s. 6d. ) is present, the blue and brown jacket produced for the third printing is in excellent condition (near fine) with very mild tanning to the spine-lettering and flap-edges and a tiny bit of corner-wear, the original price (15s. ) Is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "This book, the fourth in Mr. Oakeshott's series describing the complete equipment and life of the medieval knight, deals with every aspect of the castle," illustrated throughout by the author; Signed by Author .
