Hanau: Karl Schustek Verlag, 1968. First Edition. Hardback in buttermilk coloured cloth boards with black illustration embossed to front. In original dust jacket. Masereel's 95 woodcuts and drawings show the horror, misery, injustice and destruction of two world wars. The editor has supplemented the illustrations with partly poetic, partly documentary texts (in German). Both book and dust jacket are in very good condition. 104 pages. 265 x 185 mm (10½ x 7¼ inches).
