Binding square & tight, text clean & bright.. 8vo. [1], [1 blank], xix, [1 blank], 460 pp. Early half-calf over marbled paper, all edges marbled. Very attractive type on good laid paper. Containing Hercules Furens, Thyestes, Phoenissae, Hippolytus (Phaedra), Oedipus, Troades, Medea, Agamemnon, Hercules Oetaeus, & Octavia. This copy belonged to Daniel Henry Holmes Ingalls, Wales Professor of Sanskrit at Harvard University, with his distinctive owl bookplate to front pastedown.
