"L" is for Lawless is in the publisher's original quarter cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. "P" is for Peril is in the publisher's original full cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. The twelfth ("L" is for Lawless) and sixteenth ("P" is for Peril) novels of Sue Grafton's "Alphabet" series of mystery novels, featuring Kinsey Millhone, a private investigator based in Santa Teresa (a fictionalized version of Santa Barbara in California). This popular murder mystery series is written in a characteristic hard-boiled detective fiction style. In "L" is for Lawless, Kinsey is hired to investigate the life and death of her late neighbour. In "P" is for Peril, Kinsey is hired to investigate the disappearance of Dr. Dowan Purcell. In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with the original unclipped dust wrappers.
