Vintage Books, 1960. Paperback. Good. 1960. 242 pages. Purple and white pictorial paperback. Pages are clean and bright, and appear almost good as new. With minimal tanning throughout. Binding has remained firm. Paper cover is lightly rub worn and thumbed with light shelf wear to edges and corners. Light creases to corners and spine. Light tanning to spine and edges.
Synopsis
André Gide was born in Paris in 1869 and died there in 1951. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1947. His works include The Immoralist, The Counterfeiters, Strait is the Gate , the autobiography If It Die . . . , and three volumes of Journals . He also wrote plays, essays, short stories, and books of travel.
