New York: R.H. Russell, 1900. First American edition. Hardcover. ex-Library. Adapted into English by Louis N. Parker. A play by Rostand, author of the play 'Cyrano de Bergerac,' based on the life of Napoleon II. Includes two full page portraits. Navy blue cloth binding with elaborate gilt embossed bee pattern with eagle and crown symbol centered on front cover. Rear cover has initial "N." Gilt title, author and eagle symbol on spine, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Ex-library with minimal markings, not affecting text. Still a very handsome book.
