London: Ward Lock & Co Ltd, 1950. Unclipped dustwrapper has creasing and small tears to the edges, with a one-inch piece missing at top edge of front panel of same. Minor bumping to spine ends of red boards and some wear to top corner of front board, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. NOT one of the "Red Guide" series, but one of the "Ward Lock's Tourist Guides", this one for the Lake District, with emphasis on walking routes. No publication date given, but this is a twenty-first edition, probably early 1950s? 320pp, 15 maps and plans, 11 of which folding.. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
