About This Item
Professor Vernaleken's collection of folk stories from Austria and Bohemia. This is the Swan Sonnenschein first edition of 1889, in original binding unlike many sale copies. Book is very good. Pages are largely clean and bright, a few pages with some browning patches on. Some scattered spotting. Many pages have no marks at all. Text block is the original gilt. A previous owner has inscribed on FEP. Original boards are tight, cover picture is clear and clean. Some rubbing to spine. General age wear to board corners and some light marking etc. Overall very nice. See all photos - we don't use stock photos, all pictures are of the actual edition for sale
