[FRANKLIN IMPRINT]. (PENNSYLVANIA). (LANCASTER COUNTY). [Land Warrant]. By the Proprietaries. Pennsylvania, ss. Whereas Alexander Wilson . hath requested that we grant him take up two hundred acres of land situate in Paxtang Township whereon he has been 2 Years settled adj'd to Samuel Corkle & James Stinson. 7 May 1737. It directs Bartram Gilbreth [Galbraith?], Deputy Surveyor to survey this land and return to the office of the Surveyor-General. Benjamin Eastburn, Surveyor-General. Printed form accomplished in manuscript, 13" x 8." Old fold lines. Very good. Miller A103 or variant. Not in Evans. Not in Bristol. Signed by Jno Penn, son of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. Eastburn's service as Surveyor-General was between 1733 and 1741, but this form was printed no later than 1737, when it was accomplished.
