Very good, 1st edition, missing d/j, ex-library book (some markings), red clothbound boards (a little fading), black spine titling (marking left by label); text block firm; pages crisp and unmarked (bar library stamps etc).. 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Shaw was almost as prolific in his writing on politics, philosophy and linguistics as he was as a playwright. This posthumous anthology of his writing on language was published 13 years after his death in 1950.
