About This Item
Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1937. First Edition. Very Good/Very Good. First edition, first printing, with "Lovely Pearl" on the first line of page 19. Publisher's original blue cloth stamped in gilt. Very Good. Light edge wear to cloth. Spotting, dust-soiling and indentations to top edge of pages; foxing to fore edge. Previous owner name to front paste down. Pages often show vertical streaks, which is common to this title on account of a printer malfunction. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket, toned at the spine and a bit tattered along the edges. A satire of Boston's elite upper class, and winner of the 1938 Pulitzer Prize.
