About This Item
New York: Barnes & Noble, 2003. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good to Near Fine/Issued Without Jacket. Based on the award-winning and long-running "Law and Order" television program, this book was written by Wolf, the program's creator and executive producer, as a means of capturing and documenting the crime scenes which open the show and are the organizing element of the program. Wolf asked Jessica Burstein, NBC's first female staff photographer, to document the program's crime scenes and it is the dozens of stark black & white images, rather than the print content, that dominate the book. First Edition, First Printing. About 13 x 20 1/2 inches, 160 pages on heavy, glossy stock. The black paper-covered boards with the backstrip in "crime-scene-tape" yellow are bound with a pair of heavy metal fasteners. Front and back board lettering is silver with black lettering on spine. Boards show minimal surface and corner wear, no bumping or chipping, not remaindered. Text is clean, complete and unmarked. While the information about the program and its actors and staff is interesting, it is Burstein's photography that makes this a collectable book. [Due to the size and weight of this book, priority/expedited shipping or orders to destinations outside the U.S. will require additional postage ranging from $15 to $50.]
