About This Item

New Yor City: Doubleday, 1992. First edition/1st Printing . Oversiz. Bds.& Cl. W. D.j.. The uncommon first edition of the hardcover edition that is a spectacular documentation of the beloved Oscar winner. Includes much material on the history of Lawrence, his life and the making of the movie. Illustrated with 100's of historical photos along with color photos from the movie, campaign material, candids, fashion drawings and much more including a great text. The book appears to be unread and is a fine copy in a fine dustjacket.. There is mild toning to the margins of the paper due to the age and the paper used, but this is really not a defect, but I mention it anyway, as I said a fine copy. Also included is the original souvenir program from the original release of the film back in 1962. 40pg. original souvenir program from the roadshow engagement of the big Oscar winner of 1962 that has easily stood the test of time. Directed by David Lean and starring Peter OToole, Omar Sharif, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Jose Ferrer, Claude Rains, and Jack Hawkins. This was Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif's breakthrough film both of whom were nominated for Oscars. The program is illustrated with color photos including several fold-outs and 2 die-cut pages. The program has art direction by Henry Wolf. Small crease to the top left corner of the program which is lightly mirrored to some pages, a touch of light soiling and a small old label stain to the front cover. Vg. Sold as a collection only.
