London: Prayer-Book and Homily Society, 1819. Hardcover. Very Good. Printed by Richard Watts. [12], 543, [3] p.: tables; 18 cm. Rebacked with bonded leather spine, Japanese paper joints, and original calf boards. Gilt-tooled spine label with title: The Book of Common Prayer, 1819. Added title page in Irish. English text and Irish translation of Book of Common Prayer and Thirty-Nine Articles in parallel columns. Text of Psalms in Irish. Front fixed endpaper bears printed notification that the original binding was by J. Bird in Hatton-Garden, and the book was sold at the Prayer-Book and Homily Society's House on Fleet St. "Prayer-Book and Homily Society B" blind-stamped in the center of each board. Pencilled notations on endpapers. Very scarce. In Condition: Very Good Condition: modern rebacking; corners of boards rubbed; worming, primarily in fore-edge margins, to front endpapers and first 5 leaves; clean and tight.
