Description:
NY: Little Leather Library Corporation, 1916. Leatherbound. Good. Green soft leather; 127 numbered pages. Edge wear and tone to pages with soiling. Fragile. Founded in 1916, the LLLC originally used real leather for their binding but switched to faux leather during WWI. Their books measured 3¼ X 4 inches, and reprinted strictly public domain works. It is unknown if the works are edited or abridged. Of the 101 chapbooks in this series, none are numbered. In 1922 LLLC was renamed Robert K. Haas. "isfdb" Walter Whitman Jr. was an American poet, essayist and journalist. A humanist, he was a part of the transition between transcendentalism and realism, incorporating both views in his works. Whitman is among the most influential poets in the American canon, often called the father of free verse.
