Thomas Falconer was an Englishman who arrived in the Republic of Texas in 1841. He was allowed to join the Texan Sante Fe Expedition as an observer. Like the others in the expedition, Falconer was captured by Mexican forces and marched to Mexico City. But, being a British citizen, the Mexicans released him on the demand of the British minister. This book is his letters and notes about the doomed expedition which was also attacked several times by Native Americans. Covers bright. Both ends of spine gently bumped. Bottom corners gently bumped. No previous owner marks. Text clean and bright. Covers now protected in mylar.
