Signed by Author(s). xcvii, [iii], 3 folding plates, 224 pages. With the portrait frontispiece and the extra engraved title page. The plates have some offsetting. The three folding plates are each signed of OW Serres, Dr Wilmot's niece, the author. Olivia Wilmot Serres went on to claim that she was the legitimate daughter of the Duke of Cumberland and was know as Princess Olive. Rev Wilmot and his niece lived at the Rectory at Barton on the Heath in south Warwickshire. In old paper covered board with unlettered cloth spine - worn and stained. Bookplate to the front pastedown of Robert Washington Oates. Circular ink stamp to the title page and final page - Bibliotheca Oatesiana. Embossed blind stamp address to the head of the title page - The Wakes, Selborne, Alton Hants, Selborne 275. Lacks the front free end paper. Page edges are untrimmed and the whole book is soiled, dusty and grubby..
