London: Richard Bentley, 1866. Volumes I and II published 1859, Vol. III, 1866. SCARCE in the three volume set. In unsigned fine binding of half red morocco over marbled boards, gilt back, marbled end papers, tops gilt. Near Fine, a few rubs at raised bands of Vols. I and III, spines a shade darkened, scant toning at end papers, a quite handsome set. Lord John Russell (1792-1878) served as Prime Minister of the England from 1846 to 1852 and again from 1865 to 1866. . First Edition. Half Morocco. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
