No publication date given, circa 1860; first publication in U.S. was Appleton 1853. -- Hardcover, nice binding: light brown cloth with pebbled, blind-stamped design and gold spine lettering. Condition: very good plus: tiny bit of wear at spine tips and corners; owner name dated 1864 "Mrs. Harriet C. Squier." -- The author flourished 1846-79. This is also an unusual imprint, uncommon, D. W. Evans apparently published only 1859-60.
