First edition. Illustrated with a frontispiece and sixty-six plates. Collated complete. A detailed commentary on the alleys, byways, and courts of London, with reference to the Red Lion Passage, Mayfair, Warwick Street, Crown Court, the Savoy Steps, Hanging Sword Alley, Wardrobe Court, Angel Place, Passing Alley, and more. Written and illustrated by Alan Stapleton. In the original grey cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the endpapers. Library ink stamps to the endpapers and pastedowns as well as the title to page three, and the odd page throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
