About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1933. Original wraps. Fine. A lovely example of the 1933 1st edition, limited to 2,000 copies. THIS COPY BOASTS A WARM, 1934 INSCRIPTION BY ROBERT FROST ("IN MEMORY OF EVENINGS AT THE NEW SCHOOL"), appearing at the top of the front pastedown. The chapbook, #8 of the Borzoi chap books, has held up very nicely and is clean and well-preserved in its hand-sewn, pictorial wrappers, which were designed by the formidable W.A. Dwiggins. Also includes a very clean, near-pristine copy of the publisher's matching envelope.
