Good (heavy shelfwear and scuffing to the boards, title page has foxing and soiling, internal hinges are broken, pages are lightly age toned but plates are otherwise very clear. It appears all plates are present). Oversized bound in 3/4 burgundy leather boards, 5 raised bands on spine with gilt lettering and design; all edge gilt, marble illustrated end papers; unpaginated with profuse color plates. Text is in French. The Polychrome Ornament: Duexieme Serie: One Hundred and Twenty Plates in Gold and Silver Color; Ancient and Asian Art Middle Ages, Renaissance, 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries.
